MLS Policies and Fines for Violation of Rules
1. Reporting New Listings
The fine, to the MLS Participant, for failing to enter listings in the computer within the 72 hours specified in Section 1-Lisiting Procedures of the MLS Rules and Regulations. A fine of $10 per day will be levied for all listings found in violation of this time limit.
2. Photos
All listings are required to have one photo entered into the computer with 5 days after the data has been entered.

All residential listings must have at least one main photo of the primary structure or the floor plans of the primary structure. For failure to enter a photo on a residential listing within the time specified, the MLS may assess a $25 fine after one (1) weeks notice to the Participant. A $25 fine will be assessed each month until a photo is provided.
4. Manufactured Housing
Manufactured homes on rental lots are not permitted in the MLS as a "For Sale" listing.
5. Caravan Thursday
Every Thursday of the month the Caravan meets at the Board office at 9:45a to tour homes in designated areas of the city. The listing agent or a representative of the listing firm must be present at the Board.
6. Late Dues
A 5% late penalty will be assessed to the MLS Participant on unpaid MLS dues by the 10th of the first month in the quarter. MLS dues and the penalty must be paid in full by the last working day of the first month of the quarter or the MLS Participant and all agents associated with this firm will be suspended from MLS until paid.
7. Reporting Status Changes
The fines for violating Section 2.5-Reporting Sales to the Service of the KBOR MLS Rules & Regulations are as follows:
  • All status changes must be reported within 24 hours after they have occurred.
  • If the "SOLD" price is not disclosed, the listing Participant will be given thirty (30) days to enter the sold price. If data is not entered in this time period, the listing Participant will be fined $500.
