Holding a real estate agent's or real estate broker's license does not make someone a
Realtor®. The term Realtor® is a registered collective membership mark that
identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
Realtors®.
The main thing that distinguishes a Realtor® from someone who's merely licensed by the
state to sell real estate is this Realtor® Code of Ethics, which requires Realtors® to
put their clients' interests first at all times. Hiring a Realtor® means you've
retained someone who is committed to continuing education, professionalism, and integrity.
The Realtor® Code of Ethics
Please contact the Kerrville Board of Realtors® for a new Realtor® Code of Ethics
Booklet.
Code of Ethics Training
All Realtors® are required to complete ethics training when they join the Board and
once every four years after that. This page lists some of the options for completing
your COE requirement.
Filing a Complaint
If you have a complaint against one of our Realtor® members, this page will give you
some guidance on what to do next.
